Cancer study gets large grant: $1.2m will be used to explore links to farmworkers

A $1.2 million grant to Fresno State's biology department will finance a new program to research the correlation between pesticides and breast cancer in Latina farmworkers.

The grant from the National Cancer Institute creates the Cancer Biology Program in collaboration with the Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute in La Jolla.
